The role of artificial intelligence and digital health technologies in modern cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment

Abstract:
Cardiovascular disease is currently one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with approximately 17.9 million people dying from heart-related complications each year. This mortality rate is further increasing due to limitations in rapid diagnosis, regular patient monitoring, and effective medical management. In this context, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health Technologies have brought significant changes to modern cardiovascular healthcare. In particular, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, wearable monitoring devices, and telemedicine systems have made disease diagnosis and treatment more accurate and faster. The main objective of this study was to analyze the role, effectiveness, and future potential of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health Technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of modern cardiovascular diseases. The study analyzed relevant research articles from various international databases following a systematic review-based methodology. According to the results, the Convolutional Neural Network-based diagnostic model demonstrated approximately 95 percent accuracy in arrhythmia detection, while the Random Forest model demonstrated 91 percent effectiveness in heart disease risk analysis. At the same time, AI-based predictive analytics has achieved up to 92 percent success in cardiovascular risk assessment.
The study also found that the use of wearable health devices and remote monitoring systems significantly reduced the rate of hospital readmissions for heart failure patients and increased the opportunity for remote patients to receive treatment through the use of telemedicine platforms. As a result, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health Technologies have elevated the modern cardiovascular healthcare system to a more rapid, patient-centered, and preventive level.
